North Melbourne's acting captain Jack Ziebell will be in the sights of the AFL match review panel when it meets on Monday.

Ziebell's crunch of Hawthorn's Sam Mitchell will be under scrutiny, as will a series of rolling wrestles in the ill-tempered Friday night fixture.

"The match review panel will deal with it ... it's out of my hands now," Ziebell told ABC radio on the weekend.

"But I think I should be OK. I didn't hit him high and Sam got straight up and played the game out with no worries."

A host of North and Hawthorn players can expect fines for being involved in a series of melees.

Ziebell said North's overtly physical approach in the nine-point loss was premeditated.

"That's something that we've been working towards for a little while now," he said.

"The week before against Geelong, we were beaten up around the contest, so that was something that we really wanted to address and get right this week."
